Mediation

In addition to providing therapy, I provide mediation services. Mediation is defined as "[a] process for resolving disputes in which another person" - that would be me - "helps the parties" - that would be you and the person you are in dispute with - "negotiate a settlement"1.

Although aspects of mediation have been embedded in the work that I have done for years now, the formal practice of mediation is new to me. I recommend that you contact The Mediation Centre for local, experienced talent in mediation.

But if you do come to see me for mediation, I will work with you to the level at which I feel competent, and I will probably seek your permission to consult with a more experienced mediator while I work with you. Also I am a member (not accredited) of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and Family Mediation Canada.

Never having been one to follow an easy path, I also practice parenting coordination.
